Brain Teaser

Here's the latest brain teaser:

Carleigh has a large collection of pets.  1/3 of them are cats, 1/4 of them are dogs, 1/5 are hamsters and the rest are goldfish. If Carleigh has 39 goldfish, how many pets in total does she have?

(1/4)x + (1/5)x + (1/3)x + (39)=x
(47/60)x + 39=x
(13/60)x = 39

x=180

Just checking out the logic

Carleih has 39goldfish/ 22 = 1.7727
1.7727 x 33 = 58.5 cats
1.7727 x 25 =44.318 dogs
1.7727 x 20 = 35.4545 hamsters
1.7727 x 22 = 39 fish
Total Pets = 177.3........ on this bases there must only be
58 cats,44 dogs,35 hamsters and 39 fish thus a total of 176 living pets.

Carleih has 176 healthy pets!
